9: YE CRUEL ONE WHAT GLORY CAN BE GOT
10: IN SLAYING HIM THAT WOULD LIVE GLADLY YOURS,
11: MAKE PEACE THEREFORE & GRANT ME TIMELY GRACE,
12: THAT ALL MY WOUNDS WILL HEAL IN LITTLE SPACE
Edmund Spenser is an artist of Elizabethan times just around the time of Shakespeare's the time in which getting the eternal , unshakable and true love these feelings were very dominating for people living in Elizabethan time.
Coming onto the sonnet in first line itself it reflects the dominance for the feeling of having eternal and true love by saying "sweet warrior" to the woman he is in love with the ln when he says "when shall I have peace with you " in the first line itself is decriminatory of the fact that woman he wants to love haven't accepted his proposal yet .
In the upcoming lines 2 & 3 he metaphorically compares his situation as a war which he wants to end by having peace with the woman he loves that means that he compares her constant refusals as war in which he want to have peace when her beloved woman would accept his proposal of love. In the lines 4&5 Edmund describes how her constant refusals are hurting him he compares this feeling of hurt to the one that a warrior gets when he is wounded all around.
In the verses 6&7 he describes how mesmerized he is by her beauty ,that beauty that he adores, admires and want to have possession on, he admires her by saying that wonder how I should live a joy by seeing his heart lancer by thousands of arrows that her eyes have shot on him and which she shoots very sharply and doesn't spare him for that, in short he is just mesmerized by her beauty .
In the last verses Edmund tries to frame how madly he loves her by saying what glory you think you will get to make these cruel stours(refusals to him) and says that what glory will you get to slay the man you will love gladly yours for the rest of his life he ends the sonnet by phrasing "make peace therefore & grant me timely grace so that all my wounds heal in a little space." With he describes that have peace with me(i.e accept my proposal) so that my wounds that your constant refusals have gives will get a little time to heal.
